No, Boba Fett only appeared in the Special Edition Re-Release of A New
Hope in 1997 where he was 'digitally' added in by Industrial
Light and Magic (ILM).

A:
He was around the galaxy, collecting bounties, waiting for Jabba to give
him the call to pick up Solo and deliver him to the Hutt.

How was Boba Fett contacted by Darth Vader?
A:
Boba Fett was above the planet, waiting for Han Solo to take off during
the Battle of Hoth. He was there long before the Imperials arrived, and
set the Rebel's sensors off. When Solo took off in the Falcon, Fett tried
to get to him, but the TIE fighter attacking it got in his way. Soon after
that, Vader called for the bounties hunters and Fett headed for the
ship.

What did Vader mean when he pointed at Fett and
said "No Disintegrations"?
A: There is no
certain answer for this. One speculation is that Darth Vader had heard of
Boba Fett's reputation, and knew Fett disintegrated his prey from time to
time. Another theory is that he was previously employed by Vader (aside
from the events in the Dark Horse Comic "Enemy of the Empire") and
Fett had been given the order to disintegrate the target.

A:
From left to right; Dengar (Human), IG-88 (Assassin Droid), Boba Fett

How did Boba Fett know Han Solo was going to use
the garbage dump as his way to escape?
A:
Boba Fett had seen that trick done before, and when he witnessed the
Falcon disappear off the Imperial's scopes, he recognized the signs of this
trick taking place.

How did Boba Fett get to Cloud City before Solo?
A:
After Fett followed the Flacon for a bit, he, as well as Solo, looked for
the nearest system. Boba Fett noticed his old foe's (See the Han Solo
Trilogy Novels) name as the administrator of Cloud City and knew Solo would
make a run for that area. It was the closest for a ship in need of
repairs and without a hyperdrive.

Did any of the other bounty hunters try and take
Solo away from Boba Fett?
A:
Just about all of them tried, except Dengar. 2 versions of IG-88
tried to stop Boba Fett. One on Cloud City before Solo had arrived, but
it failed when Fett jumped the droid and destroyed it immediately. The
second one attacked Boba Fett over Tatooine (See the Dark Horse Comic
"Shadows of the Empire") and was able to damage Slave 1 before it too
was destroyed by Fett. A team-up between Bossk, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss occurred
(See "Shadows of the Empire") when they all decided to steal Solo
from Fett and split the bounty. When Boba Fett landed on Gall to repair
Slave 1 from the recent IG-88 attack over Tatooine, Bossk and Zuckuss called
Fett into a local bar. As they where stalling him, two events where
taking place. An assassin was taking careful aim at Fett on the bar's
second floor and 4-LOM, with a group of other hunters was breaking into Slave 1
in order to steal Solo from under Fett's nose. But, Boba Fett heard the
click of the assassins rifle and, shot him before he could fire. Fett
then got a notice from Slave 1 inside his helmet that someone had broken
in. He rushed to Slave 1 and took care of he intruders. But that
wouldn't be the last time they would try to steal Solo from Fett. They
would try two more times, and almost succeed once, but eventually always fail
to Fett.

Q:
How was Boba Fett going to get two bounties from
one job?
A: Jabba the
Hutt wanted Solo because during a smuggling job for Jabba he had dumped spice
(which is illegal to have) when he saw an Imperial Cruiser. Darth Vader
wanted Solo as bait for Luke Skywalker. Boba Fett was able to collect
Vader's bounty when he told them they where at Bespin. Then, after Solo
was frozen in carbonite, he took Solo to Jabba and got the second bounty.

How come Slave 1 rotated in a upright position
when it was taking off?
A:
In order to fly, Slave 1 must rotate to where it is 'standing.'
This puts the main engines (which are under the ship when it's landed,
horizontal which pilots Slave 1 forward.

Did Boba Fett miss hitting Luke Skywalker on
purpose?
A:
There is no clear answer for this. But a strong theory is that Fett
obviously knew Vader wanted Luke. So, he made sure he did not kill him
and anger the Dark Lord.

A:
Boba Fett's helmet can pick up a very tiny sound from far away. He
could ever well have heard Luke standing there. His helmet can pick up
beings and lock on to them, even using heat display.

first part of the dance scene. You can see hi silhouette as he walks

A:
Those guns that where firing at the skiff
where heavy duty. A shot hit Fett just behind him, missing him, but the
concussion knocked him over. The force of him hitting the deck was hard
enough to knock him out for a few seconds.

ever fire his right wrist rocket?
A:
If you slow down Return of the Jedi at this scene frame but frame, you
can see he fires a short laser blast that is way off. The screen capture

How come one little hit by Han Solo set Fett
flying in to the Sarlacc?
A:
That one little hit was right in the jetpack controls, which activated
the jet pack and sent him flying. Because he wasn't expecting it, he flew
out of control into the sail barge, and the force of him hitting was strong
enough to bounce him off and into the Sarlacc.

A:
Simple, he didn't. It was all a luck shot.

Did Boba Fett survive the Sarlacc?
A:
This has to be one of the most talked about puzzles. In George
Lucas's words: "...except he gets killed, but all the comic book makers
said 'no we gotta bring him back!'" We here at the Boba Fett
Multimedia Page believe he did not die, think about it: He fell into the Sarlacc
conscious (remember the scream?), and most of his weapons can be controlled
from his helmet by a few switches, so he could have blown himself out!
